Remember that the waste you deposit at the recycling centers must be packed in clear bags or other transparent packaging.

Black bags and other non-transparent types of packaging will be rejected by the recycling center staff.

You have the option to dispose of up to 5 cubic meters (approximately 12-15 standard trailer loads) of soil from your private garden or driveway at the recycling centers.

When disposing of soil, please be aware of specific regulations.

If something is too good to throw away, you have several options at the four recycling centers:

• You can donate it to one of the charitable organizations.
• You can drop it off for 'Direct Recycling.' Your items will be collected by Røde Kors.

This way, your waste might become valuable to others.

Feel free to ask the recycling center staff where to drop off these items.

You can have your asbestos waste collected at your own address for a fee. The asbestos waste must be placed in Big Bags, which you can purchase through an online store. You must separately arrange for the collection of the asbestos waste.

The price per Big Bag with collection is 150 DKK for private individuals and 1,812.50 DKK for businesses, including VAT.

In order for the packaging to be recycled, it is important:

• It is emptied of its contents – without any food residue or liquids.
• Food and beverage cartons are dropped off at the recycling center as soon as possible after they have been emptied

What does the waste become?

Food and beverage cartons typically consist of approximately 80% paperboard fibers and 20% LDPE (plastic). It is the paperboard fibers that can be recycled into other types of packaging.

At Tarp Recycling Center, you can drop off white Styrofoam for recycling. Please only deposit clean and white Styrofoam, as it will be transformed into 'new' Styrofoam.

Locate the 'Styrofoam' container next to 'small combustibles.'
 

The container breaks down the Styrofoam into smaller pieces. It is heated and 'melted' into long blocks of Styrofoam, which are then reused.
