Elite sports and education in Esbjerg

In Esbjerg Municipality we are serious about sports, and we are proud to have good facilities, skilled coaches – and not to mention a unique opportunity to combine elite sport and education at all levels.

Elite Sport Esbjerg offers

  • Talent Sports classes from 7th to 9th grade at Vitaskolen Bohr
  • EsbjergOrdningen with free choice of a youth education in Esbjerg Municipality
  • Esbjerg Sports College where young Sport talents studying under the Eliteidræt Esbjerg program can live centrally in Esbjerg

EsbjergOrdningen is a close cooperation between the elite sports clubs and the educational institutions in Esbjerg Municipality and the program offers a chance to combine study and sport and includes 2-3 weekly morning trainings, Injury prevention training, courses from Team Denmark in nutrition and sports psychology and physiotherapy screenings.

You can join the EsbjergOrdning if the relevant sports club, the federations, and Elite Sports Esbjerg / Esbjerg Municipality approves you.

Elite sports, education and housing

If you are an active athlete included in one of the programs offered by Elite Sports Esbjerg, it is possible to apply for housing at Esbjerg's new Sports College. The student dormitory is located at Grådybet close to the city's sports facilities. Esbjerg Sports College has 30 apartments available.
