Municipalities are obligated to offer mother tongue instruction to EU and EEA citizens. We offer mother tongue instruction to students who are financially supported by a person residing in Denmark and who hold citizenship in an EU or EEA country, as well as to students who speak Greenlandic or Faroese at home.
The instruction is free of charge and takes place in a public school after regular school hours. This means that the instruction is independent of the students' other coursework.
A minimum of 12 students with the same first language is required for us to establish a class.
