The Parent Portal is a digital platform that gathers the information needed for discussions about your child. It provides you with an ongoing overview of descriptions of your children and the consents you have given for each child.

These descriptions can include the actions we have agreed upon, descriptions needed for the transition from daycare to school, or other agreements regarding assessments and summaries.

You will need your NemID (a Danish digital identification system) to log in to the Parent Portal.

On the portal, you can:

• Easily, securely, and intuitively access the documents uploaded by the employees.
• Obtain a consolidated overview of the children for whom you have parental custody.
• Provide your digital consent.
• Have an overview of given consents and their scope, and withdraw given consents.
• Respond to questionnaires requested by the employees.

The information is secured with MitID, and only you have access to the documents in the Parent Portal.

All employees in Esbjerg Municipality who work with children have the ability to send documents to you through the Parent Portal.

The portal serves as your private mailbox when receiving documents related to your child.

You will get access to the Parent Portal the first time an employee from Esbjerg Municipality sends a document to you.

You will receive access in an informational letter via Digital Post. When you open it, you will gain access to the Parent Portal by following the link in the letter.
