Hostrup and Kokspang function as a single country village There is plenty of village idyll and nature. You will mostly find detached houses gathered in a green environment.
The villages are located in a beautiful open landscape looking onto Varde River and close to the extensive natural areas of Marbæk Plantation and Ho Bay in the Wadden Sea National Park.
Hostrup and Kokspang have a good community, where everyone says "hello" to everyone else. This also means that when you move into the town, you will easily become part of the community. Many of the town's shared activities are held at Hostrup's Forsamlingshus (meeting house), in the surrounding countryside or on the nearby golf courses, hunting areas or airborne shooting ranges.
Esbjerg Municipality is divided into seven school districts and a district named city of children. Children in Hostrup and Kokspang belong to Auraskolen in Hjerting.
Hjerting Skole Aura with grades from 0.-9. Children grade 0.-3. attends school on Nordvang Skole in Hjerting, whereas children grades 4.-9. attends Hjerting Skole.
