Residential neighbourhood within walking distance og the centre

Boldesager is an extension of the city center and is within walking distance of Esbjerg Station and all the city has to offer.

Boldesager is primarily comprised of single-family homes plus a larger apartment complex with big, green backyards to the south of Haraldsgade. Esbjerg’s main hospital, Sydvestjysk Sygehus, is also located within the district.

Around Nørrebrogade, which is one of the oldest areas of Esbjerg, you can find 1-1.5 story townhouses along the area’s winding streets. The remainder of Boldesager is characterized by Esbjerg’s traditional grid pattern structure with neighbourhood blocks of primarily single-family homes dating back to the early 1900’s.

There is a large, green area with a playground north of the hospital.

Community spirit

There are two central points in Boldesager, one around Frodesgade and another around Standby Kirkevej, where much of the district’s retail and trade are centered. Furthermore, the school and the community hall function as a meeting point for community activities. The area also has a shared cultural and sports community together with the neighborhoods of Jerne and Spangsbjerg.
