News: International citizen service center in Esbjerg
Getting your CPR-number, residence document and more will soon be possible right here in Esbjerg
For a long time, Esbjerg and the surrounding municipalities Fanø, Varde, Vejen, Tønder, Billund and Ringkøbing-Skjernhave have wished and worked for an international citizen service centre. We are happy to announce that the hard work has paid off and the wish will now come true.
The Board for International Recruitment and Integration has just announced that Esbjerg will get an international citizen service center (ICS), which will serve 7,000 - 10,000 international citizens. The center will be located at Esbjerg Town Hall.
Esbjerg, together with municipalities, can now look forward to having an international citizen service center (International Citizen Service, ICS) in Esbjerg. The center will be able to handle all the paperwork required in the form of e.g. residence permit, CPR number and tax card when internationals move to Denmark and West Jutland. A task that the newcomers have so far had to travel to Odense to solve. The new ICS center in Esbjerg is expected to open on November 1st or December 1st 2022.
