Within the first 3 months after moving to Esbjerg Municipality, you can order a Rejsekort (digital travel card), giving you access to travel for free with public transportation in Southern Denmark in busses and local train connections (Esbjerg-Varde, Esbjerg-Ribe lines) for two months. We hope this will give an option to explore your new municipality. One card can be ordered per household. Please be aware that Rejsekort is not a physical card, but a digital system used in the App called Rejsekort.
What is Rejsekort (travel card)?
Rejsekort is an electronic ticketing system for travelling by bus, train, and metro. Rejsekort unites the different transport operators, travel zones, ticketing systems, and discount schemes into a common system, which makes it easier for passengers to use public transport services in Denmark. Rejsekort is digital and used in the App called Rejsekort.
Rejseplanen (travel information)
Rejseplanen is a platform to make it easier for users to access timetables and information about public transport in Denmark, including traffic information, travel itineraries, timetables, prices and other transport information. Simply enter your departure location, your your end destination plus date/time to get an overview of the public transport options for your travel. Rejseplanen is also available as App.
