Esbjerg International community is an open network for everyone with the wish to meet people of all nationalities residing in Denmark, whether foreigner or Dane. The network has participants employed in Denmark, accompanying partners, students etc. The network organizes social activities for families, couples and singles and events include for example community dinners, café-visits, playgroups, tours, BBQ, Nights out, film or game events, International x-mas potluck and more.  The network is run by Esbjerg Newcomer Service and volunteer newcomers.

Esbjerg Toastmasters Club is a network where you can socialise and improve your skills and confidence to express yourself effectively and become confident at public speaking. The club also offers a programme to build on your leadership skills. The network meetings are held in English and the club welcome all nationalities. The network meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 18.00-19.30 at Esbjerg Library, Nørregade 19, Esbjerg in the Storm P room at the 1st floor.

There is an annual membership fee to join the club, however you are any time welcome to take part in a few network meetings as a guest before deciding whether to become a member.

Tuesdays are International days at Folkehuset Kvaglund, facilitated by Tværkulturelt center. Tværkulturelt center offers a space for men to meet, a space for women to meet, an option for everyone to dine together at low costs at the tuesday community dinner and they offer a free language café, also on tuesdays.

Esbjerg Erhvervskvinder (Esbjerg Businesswomen) is a network for motivated women, who wish for development and a social network with other businesswomen across branches and differences. The network count approx. 80 members in Esbjerg and usually meets on the last Wednesday of the month from 5.45 to 9.30pm.

The annual membership fee is 1200 DKK. However, women who recently moved to Esbjerg are offered one year’s free membership. Expand Esbjerg is a Business network that would like to change the general perception of networks. The network focuses on active value creation, personal involvement, business development and on developing the members and is for people in various industries..

The half-yearly subscription is DKK 4,000 incl. breakfast for the meetings. You can attend up to 3 meetings for free before you decide whether you want to join the network.

Soroptimist Esbjerg is a non-political organization for employed women who wish to promote human rights and improve the status of women in all countries. The Network in Esbjerg meets once a month.

Alumnenetværket meet four times per year and is for graduates from SDU. Many of the participants moved to Esbjerg due to work.

JCI is an assocation for young prefssionals between the ages of 18 to 40 years. It offers its members personal and leadership development through a wide range of activities where JCI provides the framework, while it is the individual member who provides the commitment and work effort. Their guiding pricinple is "learning by doing".

Huset Esbjerg is a cultural and activity centre for young people in Esbjerg Municipality with an aim to create an inclusive and creative community. 

Huset is the base for several musical, creative and alternative associations, who drive a range of events and activities.

If you're a fan of board games, the International Board Games Club is a place to not only enjoy a evening of fun competition but also meet other like-minded people. Both Danes and international residents take part in the meetups.

Esbjerg WAVE is a voluntary association working to create visibility, community, and safe spaces for LGBT+ people in the Municipality of Esbjerg and surrounding areas. The association consists of two member organizations: Esbjerg WAVE Pride and Esbjerg WAVE SPEQTRUM.

The purpose of the association is to strengthen community, inclusion, and diversity in the local area. The Pride branch organizes the annual Pride celebration, held on the first Saturday of July, while SPEQTRUM hosts ongoing activities throughout the year, such as board game nights, a book club, and social events.

Newcomers are more than welcome to join a SPEQTRUM activity, before deciding whether to become a member. If you have a good idea and would like to organize activities for the target group, you are more than welcome to get in touch. We can provide the physical space and are happy to help facilitate meaningful activities for the LGBT+ community in Esbjerg.
